It is my sincere belief that the sharing of unique perspectives, based on one’s own experience and expertise, is one of the greatest gifts that you can provide to your community. One of the greatest values that you can provide is to create a manner in which people can enrich the community through the sharing of ideas built through individual experience! Constructive insights forged through the perspective of professional and personal journeys should be viewed as offerings which can enrich the lives of others. The public square of sound ideas is an arena that provides value to communities and an asset that can be utilized to facilitate a greater good, which are intended to create a better environment from which to provide value to the communities in which we work, as well as play. My goal here is to contribute to this public square by building build a “center for thoughts” that can positively influence outcomes which further the good of our nation in at least some small manner. Facilitation of better strategic thinking through constructive collaboration with professionals who each brings a unique value of experiences and knowledge to the process as well as a positive attitude towards creating constructive outcomes!
The Michael G. Brummer & Associates (MGBA) Forum is meant to provide a way for colleagues, who are trusted friends, to express their valuable views and insights to the wider community, who I respect on an emotional as well as professional level based upon personal interaction over an extended period of time. This group is still highly motivated and has the intellectual curiosity, coupled with extensive experience in their fields, to make a contribution to society through our continuing work with industry, government and not-for-profit organizations! In today’s unsettled world where traditional norms and mores are being challenged continuously, there is a value to bringing historical perspectives to these public forums into the dialogue. The ability to create a synthesis of ideas, coupled with this historical perspective to the market place in conjunction with new ideas should contribute to enriching positive societal outcomes.
Our objective here is to provide the opportunity to express ideas and opinions in an affirmative environment that will hopefully provide positive dialogues on some of today’s important issues, and we can all learn something which makes us at least a little bit better as individuals and citizens as we navigate these dynamic times.
